Perfumes that recreate moments from history, from Versailles to Mexico City, best known for L'Or de Louis, the 2024 Indie Fragrance of the Year.

Carlos Huber, a Mexico City–born architect and historic preservationist, trained with perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux and launched Arquiste at Barneys New York in 2011, each scent restoring a moment in history. It also scents hotels and other brands, Vacation among them.
