BeauFort London

United KingdomSay it BOH-fut · from the Beaufort scale of wind force, named for the naval officer Sir Francis Beaufort

Dark, smoky, very strong perfumes drawn from Britain’s naval history and its seas, led by the gunpowder-and-brandy Tonnerre and the aquatic Fathom V.

Leo Crabtree, drummer with The Prodigy, started BeauFort London in 2013 to make a moustache wax, then turned to perfume: three smoky scents on Britain’s naval past in 2015. He still owns the house and briefs its perfumers.
