Swiss cigar name whose perfumes, made by Coty, are led by Cool Water (1988), one of the first men’s scents built on a sea-fresh theme.

Zino Davidoff made his family’s Geneva tobacco shop famous for cigars. In 1980 a separate company, Zino Davidoff SA, took the name to goods other than tobacco; its first perfume came in 1984 and Cool Water in 1988. The family business is based in Basel.

Zino Davidoff SA of Basel, an independent Swiss family business. Coty makes the perfumes under licence, a partnership begun in the 1980s. Checked October 2026.
