Donna Karan left Anne Klein in 1984 to start her own New York label with her husband, the sculptor Stephan Weiss, and showed Seven Easy Pieces in 1985. Perfume followed in 1992, Cashmere Mist in 1994. G-III has owned the house since 2016.
