Indie perfumes from Portland, Oregon, each presented as a book by an invented author; best known for Cape Heartache and A Whiff of Waffle Cone.
Josh Meyer taught himself perfumery in his Portland basement from 2010 and, with the illustrator Ashod Simonian, launched Imaginary Authors in 2012: seven scents, each framed as a novel by a made-up writer. The two still own and run it.
