Perfumes each built on a large dose of one natural ingredient, some grown on its own Grasse fields; best known for Vanilla Powder.

Perfumer Aurélien Guichard planted his first fields near Grasse in 2016, and with Cédric Meiffret and Caius von Knorring launched Matière Première in 2019 with six perfumes. Kering Beauté took a minority stake in 2024; Vanilla Powder is its best seller.

Owned mainly by its three founders; Kering Beauté, now part of L'Oréal, took a minority stake in 2024. Checked October 2026.
