Perfumes joining Arabian notes with Swiss know-how, by its own account; Shaghaf Oud, a sweet saffron, rose and oud scent, is its best seller.
Hussein Adam Ali, who came to the UAE from Yemen, founded Swiss Arabian in 1974 with the Swiss firm Givaudan Roure as the country's first perfume maker, it says. It now runs five factories making over 35 million perfumes a year.
