Fresh, spicy-green herbal; eucalyptus-clove note over a warm, woody undertone.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled leaves.
Where it comes from: Turkey, the Balkans, Morocco
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds aromatic, spicy-fresh sophistication to fougères, colognes and herbal masculines.
Worth knowing: Not to be confused with 'bay oil' from the West Indian bay tree, which smells of clove.
Rules: Limited. Its methyl eugenol content counts toward IFRA limits
