What it is: A molecule made in a lab.
Where it comes from: occurs naturally in Peru and Tolu balsams
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Low-odor balsamic fixative that rounds ambers and orientals and helps rebuild Peru balsam effects.
Worth knowing: It is a main component of Peru balsam, the source of its old name, cinnamein.
