Warm, powdery clove-spiced floral with honey, green-olive and herbal notes.

What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted carnation flowers.
Where it comes from: very small production
When you smell it: Heart: the first hours.
What perfumers do with it: Natural spicy-floral heart for carnation, oriental and rose-clove accords.
Worth knowing: It is so scarce that most 'carnation' in perfume is rebuilt from eugenol and isoeugenol.
Rules: Limited. Its eugenol counts toward IFRA's eugenol limit
