What it is

Natural material from sesquiterpene hydrocarbon fractionated from Virginia, Texas and Chinese cedarwood oils.

Dry-down: hours later.

What perfumers do with it

Budget cedar effect and leather-note helper; the raw material for Vertofix.

Worth knowing

First isolated from Virginia 'cedar' oil in 1841, it later became the feedstock for Vertofix.
