Natural oil from inner bark of Cinnamomum verum.

Sri Lanka, Madagascar

Gives luxurious warm cinnamon to orientals, ambers and spiced gourmands; tightly dosed.

Worth knowing

The bark oil is mostly cinnamaldehyde, while the same tree's leaves give a clove-like oil instead.

Limited. Limited through cinnamaldehyde content (IFRA; skin sensitiser).
