Cinnamon leaf oil

Clove-like, spicy and slightly woody, with only a hint of cinnamon.

What it is: Natural oil from leaves of Cinnamomum verum.
Where it comes from: Sri Lanka, Madagascar
When you smell it: Heart: the first hours.
What perfumers do with it: An economical clove-cinnamon note for spicy accords and carnation effects.
Worth knowing: It is mostly eugenol, the clove molecule, so it smells more like clove than cinnamon.
Rules: Limited. Limited through its eugenol content (IFRA; EU label-declared allergen).
