What it is: Natural oil from cold-pressed peel of the citron.
Where it comes from: Italy (Calabria), Corsica
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds a smooth, elegant lemon tone to colognes and citrus-floral accords.
Worth knowing: The citron is an ancestral citrus: lemons descend from a cross between citron and bitter orange.
Rules: Limited. Citrus oil: furocoumarin and limonene rules apply
