Cosmetic colorants (CI dyes)

Odorless.

What it is: There to carry, keep or colour the perfume, not for its smell.
What perfumers do with it: Tint the juice to match the bottle and story; used at parts per million
Worth knowing: Yellow 5 (CI 19140) is tartrazine, the same dye in soft drinks and candy.
Known in: Invictus (Paco Rabanne, 2013); La Vie est Belle (Lancôme, 2012); Twilly d'Hermès (Hermès, 2017)
Rules: Limited. Only dyes on EU and US approved lists
