Watery, green floral with cucumber, melon and linden-blossom freshness.

What it is: A molecule made in a lab, first made by Winthrop Chemical Company in 1929.
When you smell it: Heart: the first hours.
What perfumers do with it: Nuances muguet, cyclamen and lilac accords, adding diffusive, dewy freshness and an ozonic lift.
Worth knowing: IFRA allows it only if cyclamen alcohol, an irritating impurity, stays below 1.5%.
