Dill seed oil

Fresh caraway-like spice with green herbal, slightly minty-anise facets.

What it is: Natural oil from seeds of Anethum graveolens.
Where it comes from: Hungary, Bulgaria, India
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds an unusual herbal-spicy freshness to aromatic and fougère accords.
Worth knowing: Dill seed and caraway share their main molecule, d-carvone, which explains their similar rye-bread smell.
Rules: Limited. Limited through its carvone content (IFRA, 2020).
