Diffusive, natural sandalwood, creamy yet dry, with long-lasting woody tenacity.

What it is: A molecule made in a lab, first made by Givaudan in 1986.
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Gives volume, diffusion and tenacity to sandalwood accords; pairs well with Okoumal and cedar notes.
Worth knowing: It is a blend of four stereoisomers and differs from Sandalore by a single carbon-carbon double bond.
Also called: Sandal pentenol; 3-methyl-5-(2,2,3-trimethylcyclopent-3-enyl)pent-4-en-2-ol
