Diffusive spicy rose and saffron with an apple-cider fruitiness.

What it is: A molecule made in a lab.
When you smell it: Heart: the first hours.
What perfumers do with it: Adds saffron-rose radiance and body to florals, apple accords and spicy blends.
Worth knowing: Cheaper to make than safranal and free of IFRA limits, so perfumers often prefer it.
Also called: Ethyl 2,6,6-trimethylcyclohexa-1,3-diene-1-carboxylate
