Fresh, cool, camphoraceous-minty; clean and slightly sweet.

What it is: Natural material from terpene oxide isolated from eucalyptus oil.
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds diffusive, camphor-cool freshness to lavender, rosemary and mint accords.
Worth knowing: The same molecule gives eucalyptus its bite and is a key flavor in rosemary, bay leaf and cardamom.
Also called: 1,8-Cineole; cajeputol
