What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted resinous material of balsam fir.
Where it comes from: Canada
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Adds rich, fruity-resinous forest depth to fougères, ambers and woody accords.
Worth knowing: Canada balsam, this tree's resin, long glued microscope slides because it bends light almost exactly like glass.
Rules: Limited. Pine-family material: peroxide specification applies
