Sharp, green, lemony-rosy geranium with a herbal, slightly metallic edge.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled pelargonium leaves.
Where it comes from: China (Yunnan and other provinces)
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Budget rosy-green geranium for fresh florals, fougères and functional perfumery.
Worth knowing: Its sharper profile comes from far more citronellol than geraniol, a ratio chemists use to tell origins apart.
Rules: Limited. Capped via citronellol and geraniol (IFRA); EU-labeled allergen
Also called: Pelargonium graveolens oil (China type)
