Sweet dried grass and coumarin with honey, tobacco and tea-like herbal nuances.

What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted dried grasses and flowers.
Where it comes from: France (Alps), Eastern Europe
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Adds natural sweet-hay warmth to fougères, tobacco, lavender and ambery accords.
Worth knowing: Hay's sweetness is mostly coumarin, released as the cut grass dries and its plant cells break down.
Rules: Limited. Coumarin content caps its dose under IFRA
