Fresh, clean floral-woody linalool, faintly camphoraceous and sweet.

What it is: Natural oil from wood (or leaves, for ho leaf) of linalool-type camphor trees.
Where it comes from: China, Taiwan
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Sustainable rosewood replacement and natural linalool source for fresh, floral and aromatic accords.
Worth knowing: It comes from the same species as the camphor tree; only a linalool-rich chemical race is used.
Also called: Ho leaf oil; shiu; Cinnamomum camphora linalool chemotype
