What it is: Natural absolute from flowering tops of Helichrysum italicum.
Where it comes from: Corsica and the Balkans
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Gives honey-maple warmth and a sunny dried-herb glow to ambers, leathers and gourmands.
Worth knowing: Its flowers keep their colour after drying, which earned the plant the name everlasting.
