Intense lime-leaf and lemongrass; sharp, green, citronella-like, slightly aldehydic.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled leaves.
Where it comes from: Madagascar, Réunion, Indonesia
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds an exotic, Southeast-Asian leafy citrus twist and strong diffusion to fresh accords.
Worth knowing: The leaf oil is mostly citronellal, while the knobbly fruit's peel oil smells far more like lime.
Rules: Limited. Citronellal-dominated; IFRA citronellal limits cap its dose
