A molecule made in a lab, first made by Consortium für elektrochemische Industrie (patent); sold by Symrise in 1985.

Heart: the first hours.

What perfumers do with it

Light, clean muguet for white-flower hearts, paired with Hedione or Florol; performs well on fabrics.

Worth knowing

In 2023 the EU added it to the list of allergens that must be named on cosmetic labels.
