What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted dried leaves.
Where it comes from: Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Adds dry hay, tea and tobacco nuances; perfumers use it to suggest green tea.
Worth knowing: Yerba mate is a holly, a cousin of the Christmas holly, not a tea plant.
