Mimosa absolute

Powdery, honeyed yellow flower with green, violet-like and waxy notes.

What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted flowering mimosa twigs.
Where it comes from: southern France, India, Morocco
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Soft, powdery naturalizer for violet, rose, iris and gourmand-floral compositions.
Worth knowing: Native to Australia, it reached Europe around 1780 and now blooms across the French Riviera in late winter.
Rules: Limited. Capped via restricted trace constituents (IFRA Annex I)
