What it is: A molecule made in a lab.
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Recreates the heart of natural musk; adds sensual warmth, radiance and extreme fixation.
Worth knowing: Heinrich Walbaum isolated it from deer musk in 1906; Leopold Ruzicka proved its large-ring structure in 1926.
