Waxy, clean aldehydic orange with ozonic, marine and faintly floral freshness.

What it is: A molecule made in a lab.
Where it comes from: a relative of Lyral
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Extends citrus brightness into the heart; adds clean green lift to muguet and outdoor realism to marine accords.
Worth knowing: It smells strikingly different diluted: waxy and heavy when neat, airy and fresh at 10%.
Also called: 4-(4-methylpent-3-enyl)cyclohex-3-ene-1-carbaldehyde
