Warm, sweet nutmeg with fresh terpenic, peppery-woody facets.

What it is: Natural oil from dried seeds of Myristica fragrans.
Where it comes from: Indonesia, Grenada, Sri Lanka
When you smell it: Heart: the first hours.
What perfumers do with it: Adds warm spice to fougères, masculine orientals and woody accords.
Worth knowing: In 1667 the Dutch kept the tiny nutmeg island of Run and let England keep Manhattan.
Rules: Limited. Limited through safrole, methyl eugenol and estragole content (IFRA).
