Fresh lemon-pine top over peppery, balsamic incense and dry resin.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled gum resin of Boswellia carterii.
Where it comes from: Somalia, Somaliland
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Gives the airy, church-incense lift in woody ambers, colognes and incense accords.
Worth knowing: The distilled oil smells bright and citrusy; the smoky church smell appears only when the resin itself burns.
