Deep, sweet balsamic resin, powdery and warm, darker than the oil.

What it is: Natural resin extract from solvent-extracted sweet myrrh gum resin.
Where it comes from: Somalia, Ethiopia
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Fixative that adds sweet balsamic body to ambers, orientals and powdery accords.
Rules: Limited. IFRA caps opoponax at low levels in finished products.
