What it is
Natural oil from dried berries of Schinus molle and S. terebinthifolia.

What perfumers do with it
Gives a bright pink-peppery fizz to florals, citrus and woody tops.
Worth knowing
Not a true pepper at all: the shrub belongs to the cashew family.
