Sweet, fruity apple-herbal with a warm, hay-like, slightly bitter note.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled flower heads.
Where it comes from: England, France, Belgium
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds soft, fruity-herbal warmth to tea, tobacco, hay and aromatic accords.
Worth knowing: 'Chamomile' comes from Greek for 'earth apple', after its apple-like scent.
Also called: Chamaemelum nobile (Anthemis nobilis)
