What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled herb of a verbenone-rich chemotype.
Where it comes from: Corsica (France)
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: A gentler, rounder rosemary for refined herbal accords where camphor would be too harsh.
Worth knowing: Same species as ordinary rosemary, but these plants make a different main ketone, verbenone.
Also called: Rosemary ct. verbenone; Corsican rosemary
