What perfumers do with it

The luxurious natural saffron; rarely used, since molecules imitate it far more cheaply.

Worth knowing

Roughly 150,000 flowers must be hand-picked to make one kilo of dried saffron.

Limited. Its safranal is capped at 0.005% in fine fragrance (IFRA).
