Sweet, green minty-herbal; chewing-gum mint without peppermint's chill.

What it is: Natural oil from steam-distilled leaves.
Where it comes from: USA (Pacific Northwest), India, China
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds a sweet, playful mint twist to fresh aromatic and citrus accords.
Rules: Limited. Mostly carvone; IFRA carvone limits cap its dose
Also called: Mentha spicata (native) / M. × gracilis (Scotch)
