When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds sunny sweetness to citrus accords and gourmands; bulks up colognes cheaply.
Worth knowing: Roughly 95% of the oil is limonene, yet the real 'orange' smell comes from trace aldehydes like decanal and sinensal.
