Tobacco absolute

Rich, sweet cured leaf; honeyed hay, dried fruit, leather and faint smoke.

What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted cured tobacco leaves (Virginia, Burley, Oriental types).
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: The natural core of tobacco accords; adds warm, honeyed depth to leathers, ambers and fougères.
Worth knowing: Perfumery tobacco absolute is usually extracted from leaves unfit for smoking, then stripped of most nicotine.
