What it is: Natural absolute from solvent-extracted tomato leaves.
Where it comes from: small-scale specialty production
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: Adds outdoorsy vegetable-green realism to green florals, herbal and garden accords.
Worth knowing: Much of the tomato-vine smell comes from a single molecule, 2-isobutylthiazole.
