Sweet cream-soda vanilla with anisic, tobacco and powdery hints.

What it is: A molecule made in a lab.
When you smell it: Dry-down: hours later.
What perfumers do with it: Boosts vanilla sweetness at tiny doses without the browning vanillin causes.
Worth knowing: It was first marketed as a vanillin substitute about 25 times stronger.
Rules: Limited. IFRA use limits since 2020 (49th Amendment).
Also called: Propenyl guaethol; 2-ethoxy-5-propenylphenol
