What it is: Natural oil from cold-pressed or distilled peel.
Where it comes from: Japan (Kōchi), Korea, China
When you smell it: Top notes: the first minutes.
What perfumers do with it: A signature of Japanese-inspired citrus; adds sparkling, unusual freshness to colognes and tea accords.
Worth knowing: In Japan, whole yuzu fruits are floated in hot baths on the winter solstice.
Rules: Limited. Limonene-rich: peroxide (oxidation) specification applies
